Finding Our Place in Space

Discover immersive podcasts that spark curiosity, fuel inspiration, and keep you coming back for more.

We produce and share youth-led space conversations that explore the future of life beyond Earth, from Moon and Mars exploration to astrobiology, space food and human survival in extreme environments.

We turn science into conversations young audiences can connect with. Each episode links the wonder of space exploration back to the biggest questions facing life on Earth.

About

As we look toward a future beyond Earth, I’ve become fascinated by the science of what it would actually take to live on another world. How would we grow food, protect the human body, build habitats, and survive in places that were never designed for us? But the deeper question is not really about if we can live beyond Earth but whether we can do it better.

If humanity gets the chance to begin again on the Moon, Mars, or somewhere even further away, will we carry the same habits that damaged parts of our own planet? Or could space exploration force us to rethink how we live, how we use resources, how we treat other environments, and how we define progress? Future generations will live with the consequences of decisions made before us and this podcast explores questions around what kind of future we want to build next.

Finding Our Place in Space is a student-led podcast exploring the future of life beyond Earth through conversations with scientists, researchers, educators, and space thinkers. As a Chabot Space and Science Center Galaxy Explorer and student interested in biology, environmental science, and science communication, I want each episode to connect big space questions back to life here on Earth. From Mars habitats and space nutrition to astrobiology, human health, and the ethics of exploration, this podcast asks: if we reach new worlds, can we become better stewards of them?
